Que Tal? Our names are Krystal and Lulu, we are sisters raised in Newark, New Jersey and the founders of Juicy & Rooted. Serving our community through food and nourishment are not new to us, it’s engrained in us. Our grandparents ran a colmado for over 25 years in the Dominican Republic. Our grandmother continued after her retirement to serve by operating a small shop that sold sandwiches, baked treats, and basic household goods out of her home in the Dominican Republic serving her church, the local schools, and community for over 25 years. We spent years helping our parents run their restaurant in Kearny serving a signature Cuban sandwich. Juicy and Rooted is not business it’s personal.

Everything at Juicy and Rooted is intentional. Our juices, cold brews, smoothies, and matcha drinks are delicious, natural, good for you and produced with the planet in mind. We care for our communities, their well-being and the environment around all of us. Our drinks are healthy with no artificial flavors or sweetness. We grow some of our own ingredients. We serve our drinks in compostable cups and We compost everything we can.

By providing these delectable treats from a mobile set-up, we are making it easy for folks to choose healthy and delicious options for themselves. Find us throughout the Newark area at your community events or book us for your private event.
